Now that you know why your university should be blogging, you're probably wondering what to blog about. You've come to the right place, my friend! Today I will give you some content ideas for your school's blog.

There are so many things you can write about in a blog. These are just a few ideas to get the creative juices in your mind flowing.

1. A day in the life of a current student

Some students aren't able to come to your campus for a tour. Writing about a day in the life of a student at your school will give them an idea of what they could expect. It gives them the more realistic view they are looking for.

2. Why people chose your school

Choosing where to go to college is a huge decision. If you interviewed current students and even alumni about why they chose your school you could post about that. This will show prospective students what makes your school better than the others. Maybe they'll end up choosing your school for some of the same reasons others did!

3. Where alumni are at now

Interviewing alumni about how they are using their college degree is also a great idea. You can show students how their degree program can help them. It shows students that attending your school will create success for them in the future.

4. Different departments on campus

This can create publicity for those departments that are somewhat lacking. It can also be helpful in showing prospective students about the different programs that your campus offers. Who knows, it could be the deciding factor in which degree they choose to obtain!

5. The admissions process

Applying to college is scary and can be difficult. Make it less intimidating by writing blogs explaining the process. Include when certain deadlines are approaching so students are aware. This will make the process easier on students and they will be thankful.

These are just a few ideas to get you started. You can also write about current events happening in town and on campus. Make it fun! You can always check out blogs from other universities if you get stuck and can't come up with more topics. Happy blogging!
