How to Implement Creative Blogging Tactics

Are you looking to increase traffic to your blog? Maybe you need help grabbing people's attention. Read on for a few blogging tactics.

One topic you can write about is the leaders in your industry. They are experts so their knowledge will be beneficial to not only you but your readers and they will be likely to share your post. If you write about ten experts, you have up to ten people sharing the blog and they are likely to have thousands of followers. So just like that, you can reach hundreds of people. This also shows respect and loyalty.

1. Write About Industry Leaders

One way of increasing traffic to your blog is by writing about the experts in your industry. It's beneficial to not only you but also your readers, and they're likely to share your post across various platforms. You could write about ten experts, and if each of them shares the articles with their thousands of followers, you could reach hundreds of people instantly. Moreover, this demonstrates respect and loyalty, and is an excellent way to network with industry leaders.

2. Use Magnetic Headlines

The headline of your blog post is the first thing that potential readers see, and it's what determines if they'll click it or ignore it. Therefore, you should think of headlines that are intriguing and will capture your reader's attention. Use action words and create a sense of urgency in your headline. Remember, curiosity is a powerful motivator, so use that to your advantage.

Getting Creative

This may seem like a no-brainer but use creative titles. You can compare two totally different things that don't seem similar at all; this will cause people to become interested and read what you have to say. I recently wrote a blog titled "Make Your Marketing More Refreshing than New Socks", or imagine a blog titled "How Inbound is the Same as Snow". You begin to think about how that would be possible, and chances are you read the blog to find out how they are the same.

3. Engage Your Readers with Visuals

Visuals are an essential part of your blog. People tend to respond better to visuals than text, so you should ensure that every blog post has images or videos. Make sure that the visuals are relevant to the topic you're writing about, and they add value to your content. Also, use high-quality images and videos that will not compromise the speed of your website as slow-loading web pages could negatively impact traffic.

4. Be Consistent in Your Posting Schedule

Consistency is important when it comes to blogging. Your readers should know when to expect new content from you, and they should have an idea of the topics you cover. If you post irregularly, it'll be hard to develop a loyal audience, and you could lose readership along the way. You should create a content calendar that will help you plan your blog posts and stick to a schedule.

5. Promote Your Blog on Social Media

Social media platforms are an excellent way to drive traffic to your blog. You should share your blog posts on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Use relevant hashtags and tag industry leaders or influencers who can share your content with their followers. However, avoid spamming your followers with constant promotions, as they may be turned off by the constant self-promotion.

6. Get Some Help With Fresh Content Ideas

If you are at a loss for ideas, you can start with a 'No Bad Idea Brainstorm'. Get a group of 2-6 people and start writing any idea that comes to mind for 15 or 20 minutes. After the time is up, read through all the ideas and see which ones stick out. This is a good way to get the creative juices flowing. Here's 4 more tactics you can work on today to improve your blog.
