  • Twitter videos: 45 seconds
  • Facebook videos: 1 minute
  • YouTube videos: 2 minutes

You want your content to be easily consumable without wasting people's time, plus keep them entertained.

If you can do this, you're on a trajectory for great success when it comes to video marketing.

Trick Three: Tell a Great Story

And it needs to be your story. Something unique. What do you have to offer? Why should someone continue watching this video to the end?

You know those text-stories that get shared across the internet and specifically on Snapchat? Oftentimes, even if you don't necessarily WANT to finish it, you end up finishing it because you want to know how the story ends.

You want to bring this element over to your video marketing for social. Get your audience so interested, so intrigued and so amazed that they're glued to their screen and just have to see it to the end.

Trick Four: You've Got Ten Seconds or Less

Think of it like a job interview, only you have a total of ten seconds, (sometimes less) to catch the attention of your interviewer and get the job.

The first ten seconds of your video are perhaps THE most important seconds of your video because of the power they hold.

You need to take advantage of this limited time to interest the viewer, gain the viewers respect and show them exactly why they need to continue watching. And perhaps more importantly: buy your product or service.

Trick Five: Don't Forget the Call-to-Action!

Whether you need your viewers to learn more, click now, follow you, download or share, a call-to-action can help you bridge the gap and get you there.

See, by directing your viewers to the next step, you're eliminating some of the friction that can keep you from meeting your conversion goals. Why? Because it makes the next step that a viewer can take crystal-clear and gives them some direction for how to proceed. Which, in turn, means better ROi!
