Hip hip hooray! It's finally Friday!
Here's what's new this week....
I'll just get right to it. If you have a business profile on Instagram you can finally schedule posts! This completely changes the game and is a dream come true. It's 110% my favorite social media update of the entire week... maybe even the entire month.
Did you notice Twitter's latest update? Probaby not. Twitter has changed the preview that will appear of pictures on your timeline, focusing on "what part of the image people will be most interested in. Simple, but very helpful.
Thanks to multilingual embeddings, Facebook users will have faster and more accurate translations. This will be great because Facebook users span over 100 different languages.
Full body AR for Facebook. They have been sure to create tools like Facebook Lenses that mimic Snapchat filters. Facebook is now developing full body AR. Facebook said,
“Our model is still in research phase at the moment, but it is only a few megabytes, and can run on smart phones in real time. Someday, it could enable many new applications, such as creating body masks, using gestures to control games, or de-identifying people.”
The next phase of AR is unsure, but it is interestng to wonder where Facebook will be in a couple of years.
More control of your privacy! This new Facebook campaign will educate users on how data is used on Facebook. Facebook is also working on making privacy settings much easier to find.
SNAPCHAT
Snapchat is removing the white border when you post an older photo from your camera roll to your story. This isn't a HUGE deal but is more aesthetically pleasing when scrolling through stories.
TWEET OF THE WEEK
Don't lie, you know you watch it every time it comes on.
