If this is the first this week in social you’re reading... WELCOME! You’ve been missing out + i’m about to let you know the biggest social media updates and trends of this week!

Facebook has been testing more custom audiences!! The new audiences they have added included “Dwell Time” and “Link Sharing.” This will potentially help your brand if someone stayed on your post for a longer amount of time and needs just a little extra push to buy your product.  As always, we can’t be sure exactly ~why~ someone paused on a sponsored post. Were they interested? Were they distracted by a puppy and just accidentally left it up? Either are valid options.  We’ll just have to wait and see if they actually roll out this feature.

In food news, Facebook just made ordering food online even easier than it already was. An “Order Food” button now appears underneath explore. Once you click it you wlil be able to view restaurants that are nearby, their price range, and you can click “start order” Facebook is making itself a one stop shop. They don’t actually deliver you the food, they’ll give you the options of services to choose from, but it does make the ordering process so much easier.

It’s no secret that brands like Wendy’s and Burger King are savage on Twitter. This past week Burger King has been using user's’ tweets about Wendy’s getting rid of spicy nuggets and running them as sponsored posts!!
