Helllllllo!
Welcome to This Week in Social Media! We have officially moved out of the spookiest month of the year, and are now in the first Friday of the month where I will eat my weight in mashed potatoes.

Instagram just can’t just adding new features each week and honestly I’m not complaining. This app introduced a stop motion feature to their camera. “The tool allows you to take a series of photos, string them together into a short stop-motion video and post them to your story. “ and will take practice and patience of course to produce something great for your story. Get creative and send me your best stop motion!
NEW! Emojis
I’m a fan of the new emojis.
Of course I need a mermaid emoji, the hero we need but don't deserve.

Snapchat
In case you missed it, Stranger Things Season 2 came out on Netflix this week. Snapchat teamed up with Netflix to create a world lens that lets you wander around Joyce Byers' living room. How cool!
Smart replies: for the busy professional that still cares to respond as quickly as possibly every time. When you receive a message you will be prompted with three responses you can tap and send. LinkedIn is still working on making this more personal, but for now it could be a great option for someone always on the go. Don’t like it? You can turn this feature off in the settings.
