Hey you! I see you're back for more social media updates. Well let me tell ya, I have a couple for you this week!
ICYMI: Facebook announced they are limiting organic reach and focusing on personal connections with your friends and family. Less content from brands will mean more content from people you know. You can find out what your business page should do in our latest blog.
Facebook is testing a tool called Watch Party. This will allow a group admin to choose any public video and show it to their members at the same time for "shared viewing experience."
Adding to the fun of stories, Instagram is testing out a Type feature. This will give a little more *pizazz* to your words. It seems a lot like just taking a photo and adding words to it just in a different font more than encouraging users to share more text based clips. I'm still here for it if it adds different font options for my stories.
LinkedIn is planning on making groups "a bigger part of the main LinkedIn experience." Some new group feautures will include: new navigation and notifications and the ability to post videos in groups.
VSCO
With Access Ventures, VSCO is introducing VSCO Voices. VSCO Voices is a six month grant program to support creators with funding and mentorship to empower the creation of art. The application for this program will go live on Monday, February 5th at 10am PT.
SNAPCHAT
The Snapchat redesign is available in countries like the U.K., Canada, and Australia, but it's getting an overwelming amount of thumbs down. Uh oh. Waiting on Snapchat's next move.
