I’m not very into having two different apps for Facebook just to see my messages. Instagram may possibly be doing this as well. They are testing an app called Direct for private messages. It’s only a test, we will see if it sticks!
Facebook Sound Collection
If you’ve ever wanted to use music on a video but couldn’t because of copyright infringement, Sound Collection is for you! Sound collection is a listing of thousands of music tracks that will available for people to use. The music may be generic sounding background music, but the idea is to encourage creation of videos.
360 Director for Pages and Profiles
Facebook is also launching 360 Director for Pages and profiles. With more than a million 360 videos already published, Facebook is moving forward with this, the step before VR.
Games on Messenger
Got any games? Facebook rolled out Games on Messenger. New games and features are coming to the Messenger apps, including a tool to live stream your game on Facebook Live. Facebook is also adding a feature that will allow you to video chat with your opponent. Word with Friends will be the first game to have the access to this.
Facebook Holiday Features
Facebook is launching the holiday features! Facebook knows the holidays is when you share the most pictures. Holiday cards have popped up, allowing you to give a status with a holiday theme of your choice. Holiday themed effects will launch today (December 15th) and Messenger Camera options will launch on December 22nd.
It looks like the “tweetstorm” feature will be permanent and available for all in the coming weeks. I am patiently waiting to reach more stories on Twitter.
VSCO
VSCO is known for photo editing and a way to share photos with other creators. VSCO announced they will be adding a messaging option, to privately chat with just one person and send other photos. VSCO said — “One of our most requested features, Messages is a new way to connect, share inspiration, and learn from other creators in the VSCO community,”
